چکیده
Goat farming in Bangladesh is primarily centred on indigenous Black Bengal goat, a highly prolific breed. Searching for genetic markers associated with prolificacy this breed vital the country’s goat breeding industry. However, there are no reports polymorphisms fertility of Bangladeshi goats. This study investigated two major fecundity genes-bone morphogenetic protein 15 (BMP15) and growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) to detect any possible mutations these genes litter size Blood samples were collected from 40 raised goats Hathazari Government Farm, Bangladesh. Genomic DNA was extracted; PCR amplification performed; sequencing products performed polymorphism loci target genes. Five SNPs viz. C735A, C743A, G754T, C781A C808G detected exon 2 BMP15 gene. A SNP (T1173A) GDF9 2. Association results show that at 735, 754 781 nucleotide positions had significant association goat. The effect parity also (P < 0.001) size. For first time, explored Further studies many genetically unrelated animals assessing others may be useful.

BMP15 and GDF9 are two oogenesis specific genes play a pivotal role in female fertility in mammals and potential for improvement of prolificacy in marker-assisted selection. The aim of present research was to investigate the variation and association between BMP15 and GDF9 polymorphism and litter size in Markhoz goats. The sequence variability of the different amplified fragments utilized for g...

In this study, we investigated the relationship between the genetic polymorphism of growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) genes and the litter size in 384 individuals of five breeds of black goats. Four pairs of primers were designed to detect single nucleotide polymorphism of GDF9 gene in goats by PCR-SSCP. The least square was used to analyze the relation between different genotypes and the ...

Growth differentiation factor 9 (GDF9) belong to the superfamily of transforming growth factor β that is highly expressed in growing ovarian follicles of oocyte, and it has been strongly related to fecundity traits in sheep. Therefore, the GDF9 gene could serve as a genetic marker for improvement of reproductive performance in sheep. Therefore, the aim of this study was to invest...
